FAQs
Who can take part?
People from all walks of life and of all ages can particpate. Anyone over 18 years old is welcome as long as you are fit and healthy enough to do the challenge.
Am I fit enough?
You do not have to be super fit to take part but a bike ride or a trek will be physically challenging. Training and fitness are a must to be able to actually enjoy the event. But, this is not a race – the aim is for you to complete the challenge at your own pace. Whilst there will be people at differing levels of fitness you will find that there is a great sense of team spirit and support for everyone to complete the challenge.
What training is required?
We strongly recommend that you undertake training before the event. The fitter you are the more you will enjoy the event. We will send you training guidelines when you register to set you on the right path.
What kind of support is there?
On all trips there will be a tour manager who will lead the event with a local support team including an English-speaking guide who will be knowledgeable about the country, culture and local area, and an English-speaking doctor (or medic) who will have medical supplies. On the cycle rides there will also be English-speaking mechanics.
Will I need to carry my kit?
No, your main luggage will be transferred overnight to the overnight accommodation each day. You will need a small rucksack or bum bag for the trip to carry water and small items e.g. sun block, camera, toilet tissue and hand wipes.
