Young Voices for Change
Empowering the Youth: The Young Voices for Change Project
This project centres on building awareness of young people with regard to their sexual and reproductive rights, and empowering them to undertake participatory advocacy to defend their rights. Through this project, UMATI has set up Youth Empowerment Networks throughout the country. Young people are also supported to develop case studies and monitor the services available to them, creating an evidence base for advocacy activities. They also use drama, puppet shows, TV, radio, and a programme of peer education to reinforce messages and support positive behaviour change among their peers and the wider community.

It is now an IPPF Member Association providing sexual and reproductive health education, information and services, including family planning services, family life education for young people, and integrated clinic and community-based service delivery approaches. Services are primarily targeted at young people aged 10–24.
